Experiencing unexpected switches to the eraser tool can be a minor, yet common occurrence. Fortunately, this is easily manageable by adjusting a few settings on your device and within the app.
- First, open your device Settings app.
- On the left sidebar, scroll to Apple Pencil and tap it.
- Under Actions select Double Tap.
If the option to Switch Between Current Tool and Eraser is enabled, double tapping your Apple Pencil point will toggle between your chosen brush/texture/fill and the eraser tool while you’re working. For some users, simply being aware of this feature solves the issue. Others might prefer selecting a different setting to prevent accidental switches.
Additionally, check the app settings for further customization. In Pigment open a page to color > tap the sliders icon (top left corner next to the X) > Gestures & Pencil. Here, you’ll find options to toggle ON or OFF Enable Two-Finger Undo and Only color with Apple Pencil. Adjusting these settings can enhance your coloring experience and reduce unwanted tool changes.
With these tweaks, you should have a smoother and more enjoyable time using the app.
