Want to stay on top of your schedule without leaving your creative flow? Zinnia makes it easy to link journal text or objects directly to calendar events. Just sync your device with your Google account, then create calendar events right from your journal page.
What You’ll Need
Before you begin, make sure:
Zinnia is installed and you can open a journal
Your device is connected to the internet

Your Google account is added to your device’s calendar system:
iOS/iPadOS: Go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts
macOS: Go to System Settings > Internet Accounts > Add Account
After signing in, make sure Calendars is toggled ON for Google
How to Create a Linked Calendar Event in Zinnia
1. Sync your device with Google Calendar
On iOS/iPadOS:
Open Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account, select Google, and sign in.
Confirm Calendars is turned ON.On macOS:
Open System Settings > Internet Accounts > Add Account, select Google, and sign in.
Make sure Calendars is enabled.
2. Select the item to link
In your journal, tap the text or object you want to connect to a calendar event.
3. Tap “Event” in the bottom menu
Once you’ve selected something, tap the Event option that appears.
4. Fill in event details
Add a title, date, time, and any other info you want to include.
5. Choose the destination calendar
Pick the correct calendar from your device—Google or any other that’s been synced.
6. Tap Add
That’s it! Your event is now live on your calendar.

After adding an event, open your device’s Calendar app to confirm it’s there
