Switching Between Tools and Rubber

Experiencing unexpected switches to the rubber tool can be a minor, yet common occurrence. Fortunately, this is easily manageable by adjusting a few settings on your device and within the app.

  1. First, open your device Settings application.
  2. On the left-hand side panel, scroll to Apple Pencil and tap it.
  3. On the right-hand side, look for the DOUBLE TAP options.

If the option to Swap Between Current Tool and Rubber is enabled, double tapping your Apple Pencil point will toggle between your chosen brush/texture/fill and the rubber tool while you're working. For some users, simply being aware of this feature solves the problem. Others might prefer selecting a different setting to prevent accidental swaps.

Additionally, check the app settings for further customisation. In Pigment, tap My Work > the Cog icon > and scroll to the COLOURING section. Here, you’ll find Enable Two-Finger Undo and Only colour with Apple Pencil. Adjusting these settings can enhance your colouring experience and reduce unwanted tool changes.

With these adjustments, you should have a smoother and more enjoyable time using the app.
