Resolve Favorites Syncing Issues

Experiencing issues with Favorites syncing? Don't worry, here's how to get everything back on track smoothly using some proven solutions.

Favorites is stored within the same iCloud system as your journals. If you're not seeing your content, it's likely a storage or syncing issue. Let's problem solve!

Check Device Storage

First, ensure your device has enough storage:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap iPad Storage – check if you have at least 3GB of available storage. If not, follow the recommendations to free up space.

Check iCloud Storage

If device storage isn't the issue, check your iCloud storage:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap your Name.
  3. Tap iCloud.
  4. Tap Manage Storage – ensure you have enough storage.

iCloud Syncing

If storage isn't the issue, it might be an iCloud syncing problem. Try these steps:

First, restart your device: power off, wait a few seconds, power back on (this can help kickstart iCloud syncing back into gear if it's stuck). If that doesn't help resolve the issue, follow these next steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap your Name.
  3. Tap iCloud.
  4. Turn OFF iCloud syncing for Zinnia.
  5. Reopen Zinnia to see if the issue is resolved.

Reinstall the App

As a last resort and if recommended by a support agent, try reinstalling the app (before doing so, ensure iCloud is enabled and your journals are backed up to avoid data loss):

Delete the Zinnia from your device and reinstall it from the App Store.
