So you want to color artwork you found posted in the Gallery as "free to color"? Well you're in the right place! There are two methods for this:
Method 1: Save to Reading List and Import (Best Results)
- Find the artwork you'd like to color in the Gallery and then tap on the share icon (arrow up).
- Tap on Add to Reading List.
- Tap Add.
- Open Safari.
- Tap on the menu button in the top left corner.
- Tap to open your Reading List.
- Tap on the artwork you previously saved.
- The artwork will open up in a new tab and then you can tap and long hold on the image.
- Tap Save to Photos.
- In the Pigment app, tap on the more options icon (...) in the top right corner of any section of the app.
- Tap Import Image.
- Tap Load Photo.
- Tap the image to be imported.
- Follow the prompts to crop & rotate, then tap Next in the top right corner.
- Adjust the grayscale contrast to your liking and when you're satisfied with the appearance of the image, tap Done in the top right corner.
*If after you've imported, you realize that your colors are bleeding, we suggest you import again using the Dark setting.
Method 2: Screenshot and Import (Quickest)
- Tap on the artwork you'd like to color so it enlarges and then take a screenshot (the image will be saved to your Photos app):

Now you've imported the image, and it's ready to be colored! (Woohoo!)
Attribution
If you decide to publish your coloring to The Gallery, please be sure to give proper attribution to the original user by writing something like: "@user, permitted" OR "Thank you for the design @user" in the attribution field.
