Can Other Gallery Members Color and Publish My Art to the Gallery?

Yes! Is the short answer. Keep in mind, we do ask anyone who imports an image created by someone else to be respectful of that artist by checking with them for permission to use their work and also give credit through proper attribution. Please read our articles about attribution and copyright

When you sign up for the Gallery, you have agreed that you have read and will abide by Pixite's Terms of Use. It is stated that:

"...by making any User Content available through Pixite’s apps, you hereby grant Pixite and other app users a non-exclusive, transferable, sublicenseable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, create derivative works based upon, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and providing the apps to you and others."

This means that any artwork that is published to the Gallery is fair game for anyone else to use in any way, including Pixite. That means, if you are publishing your own original works to the Gallery, other people might be inspired to color your artwork themselves. We think that's awesome, as long as they abide by our attribution guidelines and are respectful of the original artist.

It is our hope that the Gallery is a supportive, respectful, and collaborative space where artists are inspired by one another's artwork. We hope to foster an environment of sharing and learning where everyone can come together in the spirit of creativity!
