We love that the Pigment Gallery is a vibrant community of artist who love to encourage one another. If you'd like to make sure that another Gallery member is notified of your positive comment or a post you've made with them in mind, you can do this by tagging them.
Simply use the @ symbol immediately followed by their username:
e.g. @Pigment or @Moderator
This will send that Gallery member a notification and they'll be able to see your comment or post.
Another good use of tagging is when you want to attribute artwork that another Gallery member created for others to color. When publishing your imported artwork, tap on Add Attribution, then you can write something like: "Original artwork by @username" OR "Thank you @username for sharing this artwork."
A note on "Tag Lists": Please bear in mind that it's not always necessary to tag people so they see your posts. The colorings you post automatically appear on the Following feed for everyone who follows you which makes tagging generally unnecessary. Unless people have specifically asked to be tagged every time you post, we recommend that you not do so, because some Gallery members might see this as annoying. A good example for when it's cool to use tag lists is when a designer posts a new page for everyone to color, they often post a list of people who have asked to be tagged. Similarly, when someone posts a challenge, they may tag a list of people who entered to update them with results.
