No Option to Update

Having trouble updating the app? No worries! Here are some general methods to rule out common issues.

First: Force Close

  1. If the App Store is open, please follow these steps for "force closing" it: iPhone and for iPad
  2. Reopen the App Store.
  3. Do you have an option to update now? If so, tap the cloud icon to update the app.

Second: Reboot

  1. Reboot your device (power off, wait 30 seconds, power back on).
  2. Reopen the App Store.
  3. Do you have an option to update now? If so, tap the cloud icon to update the app.

Third: Backup/Delete/Reinstall

These steps will assure your artwork is safely backed up to iCloud.

  1. On your device, go into the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name, tap iCloud.
  3. To the right of Saved to iCloud, tap See All. 
  4. Scroll until you find Pigment; make sure it is enabled (toggled green).
  5. Allow iCloud to sync your work. If you have a lot of artwork, this may take a while. Wait for the spinning icon to finish.
  6. Once the backup is complete, delete Pigment from your device and reinstall it from the App Store.
